Lessons learnt from air raids: notes by the Inspector General.

A file of documents relating to the lessons learned from the organisation of the Civil Defence Services following air attacks. Subjects covered in the file include the labour supply; bomb damage repairs; evacuation from vulnerable areas; information provisions for the public; military assistance; the organisation of regional headquarters; reconnaissance; accommodation and meals for the homeless; the involvement of the local authorities; rescue parties and first aid; fire precautions; reinforcement parties; air-raid casualties and mortuary services; the issue of unexploded bombs; and provisions for service personnel.
