A file of official correspondence, memoranda, and meeting minutes concerning foreign nationals in Britain. The documents include the minutes of several meetings of the British government's Council on Aliens, convened to discuss the lives of enemy aliens interned in camps both within Britain itself and in the wider British Commonwealth; correspondence concerning the appointment of a new Vice-Chairman to the Council; and a note on the possibility of permitting the families of enemy aliens deported to internment camps in Australia and Canada to join their relatives. The documents also discuss the registration of enemy aliens to become firewatchers; and the British government's decision to exempt enemy aliens who volunteer to become firewatchers from various curfew regulations.
