FAT REQUIREMENTS CONSUMPTION AND SUPPLIES. Report by the Sub-Committee on Fats. ### ###fessor T.P. Hilditch). I. INTRODUCTION. The purpose of this report is to consider the position at the present date with respect to the ration of fat allotted for human consumption and the supplies of processed natural fats available for the provision of the ration. 2. It should be observed, in the first place, that the provision of edible fats cannot be considered as a problem entirely by itself. Fats (and their individual components fatty acids and glycerine) are necessary in large quantities for other parts of the national effort.
