Wholemeal bread has been placed last in the list of "protective foods" which are set forth in the publications of the Ministry, whereas it should take a high place considering the relatively large amounts consumed and its nutritive value. We would therefore beg that your Committee would urge the Ministry of Food to launch without delay a well-informed propaganda in favour of the new "National Brown Loaf".
