1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the previous meeting (S.F.C.(41) 9th Meeting) were considered and approved subject to certain amendments noted on the copy kept for record purposes. 2. DIETARY SURVEYS. (Reference: S.F.C.(41) 9th Mtg. Concl.6.) SIR JOHN ORR outlined the conclusions reached by the Sub-Committee on Dietary Surveys after consultation with the Departments concerned. Information on the national diet and health at the present time was being collected in four directions:(i) The Ministry of Health in conjunction with the Ministry of Food had carried out surveys covering 600 families in England and Wales and 200 families in Scotland.
