SIR ALAN ANDERSON said that owing to the delay in the production of synthetic Vitamin B1 in adequate quantities for addition to bread, the Ministry of Food proposed to put on the market at the same price as white bread, a bread of 85% extraction. The flour used would contain the endosperm and as much of the germ and the aleurone layer as possible, the bran being excluded.
