The Second Report on Bread was considered by the Food Policy Committee on 4th July. It was approved generally and the Minister of Food was invited to take the necessary steps to carry its recommendations into effect. In answer to a question in the House of Commons on 21st August Mr. Boothby said that it is unlikely that the scheme will be in full operation until early in 1941 (Hansard p. 1319). The Third Report on Milk was discussed by the F.P.(M) Committee on 1st August. Much of the material in that report has been used in the discussion of the Fourth Report on Prices.
