(c) If the answer to (b) is affirmative, then is it part of food policy to maintain the materials of the basic diet in the country at all times of the year as a continually consuming- replenishing reserve? (d) How should the basic diet we have suggested, be modified to meet the potato supply difficulty? (e) What materials of the basic diet reserve should come from home production and in what amounts? (i) In autumn when stores of home products are replete? (ii) In spring when these stores are low? (f) What basic diet reserves are desirable and possible for livestock: (i) In autumn? (ii) In early spring before the grass has begun to grow? (These questions would go to the proposed Committee of our agricultural members).
