1. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING. The minutes of the previous meeting (S.F.C.(40) 15th Meeting) were considered and approved. 2. THE FATS POSITION. The Committee had before them a memorandum by the Ministry of Food on the fats position (S.F.C.(40) 59). THE CHAIRMAN welcomed Sir Henry French, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Food, and expressed the thanks of the Committee to him for coming theme that morning. SIR HENRY FRENCH said that the general fats position was affected by the fact that stocks of butter were always low at this season of the year.
