19 (Paper No. F.P.(O)(39) 9). FOOD PRODUCTION POLICY. THE COMITTTMEE had before them a Memorandum by the Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries on Home Food Production Policy SIR DONALD FERGUSSON explained that the main object of this memorandum was to show that the method of stimulating agriculture most likely to achieve successful results during the war was to offer suitable inducements to the farmer to intensify general production on sound farming lines which could be pursued after the war period.
