AIR RAID DAMAGE. ENERGY FOODS (carbo- hydrates) ENERGY FOODS (Fats) Potatoes Estimated losses of food in June owing to air attack amounted to only about 840 tons. A large starch factory and a small flour mill were destroyed and a small cold store seriously damaged. IV. COMMODITY SUPPLY POSITION The period of heavy wheat arrivals is ending; sugar stocks at end-September 1942 are forecast to be a little below stocks at end-September 1941; potato crop prospects are good. (i) Arrivals continued at a high level in June and bulk stocks of wheat and flour reached nearly 19 weeks' supply at the end of the month.
