SECRET QUARTERLY REVIEW OF THE SLAUGHTERING OF LIVESTOCK SIXTEENTH REPORT With reference to the Food Policy Committee's request (C.F.P. (M) (41) 17th Meeting) and (F.P. (M) (42) 1st Meeting) Table III attached shows the number of livestock for slaughter purchased at Collecting Centres by the Ministry of Food during the nine weeks since December 1st, 1941, when the last Census of livestock on farms was taken, and the numbers purchased during the corresponding period of 1940/41. This report includes comments on the December 1941 Agricultural Census for which figures are now available.
