Memorandum by the President of the Board of Trade. ALLOCATION OF CEREALS FOR DISTILLING 1941/42 1. I cannot accept the proposals of the Minister F.P. (M) (41) 113 that there should be no further distillation of whisky until the autumn of 1942. It should be noted that this proposal affects both the previous decision of the Food Policy Committ in December 1940 in respect of the year 1940/41 and the programme for 1941 Last December the Committee took note of the Minister of Food's intention permit distillers to produce in 1941 one-third of their output of whisky du### the year ended 30th September 1939.
