1940 4. SHEEP 5. PIGS (a) Trend of Marketings The total number of sheep purchased during the two weeks ended September 20th, 1941 was about 295,000 which represen a decrease of 55% compared with last year. This decrease is more marked than in the previous fortnight. In fact the number slaughtered showed a decrease on the previous fortnight, whereas last year numbers were increasing from week to week, as is normal at this time of the year. The reasons for the very small marketings this year were given in the last report, viz.
