IMPORTS OF PHOSPHATES FOR AGRICULTURE NOTE BY MINISTER OF WAR TRANSPORT 1. Last August Ministers decided to give special priority to the agricultural phosphate rock import programme in an endeavour to achieve a total import of 490,000 tons in 1940 and shipments totalling 200,000 tons early in 1941. Arrivals in 1940 reached 360,000 tons. A further 185,000 tons arrived between 1st January and 31st March 1941.
