SECRET Report No. 69 Copy No. MINISTER OF FOOD M. of F. No. WEEKLY REPORT ON FOOD AND FEED POSITION FOR THE WEEK ENDING 19th APRIL, 1941. 1. IMPORTS Imports of the principal foods and feeds in the fortnight ended 19th April were below the average level for the second year of war to date. The falling off in imports of animal feeds and oilseeds has been most marked. 2. LOSSES AT SEA AND BY AIR RAID DAMAGE Losses at sea in the week ended 19th April, reported so far, are below the average for the past five weeks, but losses in the previous week have been revised upward following the receipt of a report of the sinking of a further full cargo of wheat.
