NORTHERN IRELAND PROGRESS REPORT. Memo. by Home Secy.

20 Mar 1941

-2- to date only 463 home-produced and about 270 imported tractors, making a total of 733 machines. At the moment delivery is awaited of a further 170 imported tractors but the approval of the necessary import licence was delayed to such an extent that it is not expected that these machines will reach Norther### Ireland in time for the ploughing season. This circumstance would point to the necessity for an early consideration of the programme for next season with regard to tractor imports. MILK: The total quantity of milk sold for human consumption in Northern Ireland during the month of February, 1941, was 1,166,159 gallons as compared with 1,250,276 gallons in February, 1940 and 1,279,117 gallons in February, 1939.
