authorised to go into the store cattle market and, after consultation with e Agricultural Departments, buy up stores for slaughter, including dry cows ese recommendations were approved by the Food Policy Committee at their eting on 6th February (F.P.(M)(41)6th Meeting). A total prohibition of imports of all store cattle from Eire has en in force since 16th January on account of foot-and-mouth disease and esent indications are that it will be necessary to maintain this prohibitio many weeks to come.
