be made in this connection:- (a) The rationing scheme will itself make expensive feeding impossible; and while it is probably desirable to adhere to the present schedule during the remainder of this winter in order to prevent the wasteful use of feedi### stuffs which may have been accumulated beforehand, there is no apparent reason why the rationing scheme should not do all that is necessary in futu### periods; (b) It has already been fully represented to the Minister of Food that class of animal to which I refer is, from the food point of view, the class which it is most desirable to fatten to maturity, because of its high propo### of meat to bone.
