CONFERENCE ON LIVESTOCK POLICY Interim Report to the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries 1. The Conference was called at the instance of the Ministry of Agriculture to carry out a general review of the domestic livestock position with particular reference to the prospective situation in 1941 and 1942. It comprised representatives of the Agricultural Departments, the Ministry of Food, the Treasury, the Scientific Sub- Committee of the Cabinet Committee on Food Policy, the Ministry of Health (who are concerned with dietetic aspects of food policy) and the Ministry of Labour (who are concerned with the provision of certain food stuffs for certain classes of workers).
