Report No. 56. MINISTRY OF FOOD Copy No. 125 FORTNIGHTLY REPORT ON SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS. WHEAT AND FLOUR imports during the fortnight ended 28th December were higher than in any similar period for over two months and reserve stocks were practically maintained. The preliminary results of the December 4th Agricultural Census suggest that the figure given below for stocks of wheat on farms may be substantially overestimated. Imports of OILCAKES AND MEALS in the latest two-weekly period under review were the highest recorded for some considerable time but with reduced home-production stocks at the end of the period showed a further decline of 17,000 tons.
