1. SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS. The Committee had before them and took note of: (i) Weekly Report by the Ministry of Food. (F.P.(M)(41) 101). (ii) Monthly Report for July 1941 by the Minister of Food. (W.P.(R)(41) 54). (iii) Sixth Fortnightly Review of the Slaughtering of Livestock. (F.P.(M)(41) 102). THE MINISTER OF FOOD said that the figures disclosed in the Weekly Report were not unsatisfactory and were moving in the right direction. There was rather more meat and sugar, and good supplies of cheese; he was more satisfied with the stocks of condensed milk; it might, however, become difficult to maintain the bacon position.
