1. MEAT SUPPLY. (Reference: F.P.(M)(41) 18th Mtg. Concl. 8 and F.P.(M)(41) 19th Mtg. Concl. 2.) THE COMMITTEE continued their discussion on this subject and in addition to the papers circulated at their last meeting (W.P.(G)(41) 51 and F.P.(M)(41) 59 (Revise) and 76) had before them a memorandum by the Minister of War Transport (F.P.(M)(41) 79). (i) The estimates submitted by the Minister of War Transport, which might well be exceeded in practice, showed that imports of meat in the third year of war, at 850,000 tons carcase meat, would be very little less than imports for the second year of war.
