1. SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS. (Prev. References: F.P.(M)(40) F.P.(M)(40) 40th Mtg. Concl. 3) 1st Mtg. Concl. 1) The Committee had before them Fortnightly Report No.56 by the Ministry of Food (F.P.(M)(41) 2). The Meat Position. A discussion took place on the question of meat supplies as affected by the shipping situation. The following were the principal points made:- (i) During the ten weeks ended 28th December, 1940, arrivals of imported meat totalled 142,000 tons, or 14,200 tons a week on the average.
