1. FOOD SITUATION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. The Committee had before them the following papers:- Fortnightly Report by the Minister of Food (F.P.(M)(40)182); Monthly Report for November 1940 by the Minister of Food (F.P.(M)(40) 178). THE MINISTER OF FOOD said that the main issue raised by the first of these two papers was the shipping situation which could more conveniently be discussed in connection with a later item on the Agenda (see conclusion 4 below). In discussion on the Monthly Report (F.P.(M)(40) 178) attention was drawn to the reference on page 15 to the problem of labour.
