A. 1. MEAT SUPPLIES AND RATIONS IN 1941 I.- GENERAL Prospective supplies in second year of war and comparison with the first. The following table gives the comparison between the supplies of meat exclusive of pork and offals, other than home killed manufacturing pork, in 1939/40 and 1940/41 for consumption in the United Kingdom and by the Fighting Services at home and overseas. It will be appreciated that in 1939/40 pork (except for a very brief period) and offals were off the ration. It will be necessary in 1940/41 to consider the question of putting both pork and offal on the ration so the figures for 1940/41 are given on the basis of both alternatives:TABLE I.
