The Ministry of Food's requirements for the second year of war have been provisionally estimated at 18.9 million tons of cargo, divided into a minimum programme of 15 million tons and a supplementary programme of 3.9 million tons. The amounts of the commodities included in these programmes which require to be imported in refrigerated space are approximately as follows:- Thousands Tons. Meat, Bacon, Ham, Poultry etc. 1330 Fish 40 Dairy Produce- (Butter 260, Cheese and Lard 140, Eggs 100) 500 Fruit (Oranges etc.
