2 Oct 1940

MINISTRY OF FOOD Report No. 45 Copy No. 121 WEEKLY REPORT ON SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS Imports of WHEAT AND FLOUR have been increasing steadily since the last week in August when imports were less than half of the "programme" level; millers' and port stocks at September 21 were 120 th. tons greater than a fortnight earlier. There has been a slight increase in the stocks of MAIZE AND MAIZE MEAL but stocks of OILCAKES AND MEALS are a little lower, mainly because home production has not yet recovered from the lower rate of output shown in August.
