Very low imports in the week ended August 31st resulted in a reduction of 32,000 tons in the reserve stocks of WHEAT AND FLOUR which now stand at 15.9 weeks' requirements of flour. Low imports in the same week checked the upward movement in the stocks of MAIZE AND MAIZE MEAL, but the stocks of OILCAKES AND MEALS continue to increase. Stocks of BACON AND HAM continue to decline. Very low imports in the week ended August 31st, partly offset by reduced allocations for consumption resulted in a reduction of 10,000 tons in the stocks of SUGAR.
