MINISTRY OF FOOD Report No. 40 SECRET Copy No. 118 WEEKLY REPORT ON SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS 1. Imports of WHEAT AND FLOUR have risen again to the level reached in June. 2. Stocks of MAIZE AND MAIZE MEAL and of OILCAKES AND MEALS continue to expand. 3. Total stocks of MEAT were a little lower at August 17; but heavy arrivals in the preceding week increased the stocks of BACON AND HAM. 4. During the past three weeks total stocks of SUGAR have declined by 56,000 tons. 5. Large quantities of BUTTER were distributed in the fortnight ended August 17 and stocks fell by 10,000 tons.
