FOOD POLICY COMMITTEE AGRICULTURAL PRICES POLICY Memorandum by the Financial Secretary to the Treasury. 1. The important question to be decided by the Committee is whether the prices to be paid for agricultural products in 1940/41 and thereafter shall, or shall not, be based on a rational system of price inducement. 2. The Treasury must rely on expert advice of other Departments in regard to the technical issues involved.
