WAR CABINET HOME POLICY COMMITTEE MINISTERIAL SUB-COMMITTEE ON FOOD POLICY Under-drawing of rations by the Royal Navy and Women's Royal Naval Service Memorandum by the Fourth Sea Lord. At their Meeting on 28th June, 1940, the Committee agreed:- (a) To give further consideration to the question of service rations dealt with in F.P. (M) (40) 78 and 84 in the light of particulars to be furnished by the Service Departments of the extent to which the rations, both of men and women, on the new scales of consumption recently approved, were being underdrawn; (b) To invite the Service Ministers to consider the practicability of arranging for increased consumption by the armed forces of cocoa and for a corresponding reduction in consumption of tea.
