OF FOOD SECRET Report No. 34 Copy No. 101 WEEKLY REPORT ON SUPPLIES OF CERTAIN FOODS AND ANIMAL FEEDS Very low imports of WHEAT AND FLOUR in the week ended July 6, partly accounted for by sinkings, reduced the reserve stocks (stocks in port warehouses and mills less working stock of 155,000 tons plus wheat in transit) to under 16 weeks' supply at the current rate of consumption of wheat as flour. Stocks of MAIZE AND MAIZE MEAL and of OILCAKES AND MEALS continue to increase. The consumption of BACON AND HAM in the four weeks following the reduction of the ration on June 10 averaged 7,200 tons compared with 9,000 tons in the preceding four weeks.
