WAR CABINET HOME POLICY COMMITTEE MINISTERIAL SUB-COMMITTEE ON FOOD POLICY Under-drawing of rations by the Royal Air Force and Women's Auxiliary Air Force. Memorandum by the Secretary of State for Air. At the 20th Meeting of the Committee held on 28th June, 1940, it was stated that there was a general desire to underdraw some of the rationed foods in order that the money saved might be used to obtain a greater variety of diet that would be possible if the approved rations were drawn in full.
