Inter Departmental Committee on Food Prices Sub Committee on Agricultural Prices C.F.P./A.P.28 Report on Changes in the Prices of Agricultural Products Resulting from the Change in Wages and other Relevant Factors 1. The Government have decided that agricultural wages should be fixed on the basis of a national minimum wage of 48s. per week. They have given a firm undertaking that prices of staple agricultural products required by the nation will be adjusted so as to take full account of the increased costs resulting not only from this change but from other relevant factors.
