4. On the 25th May, after consultation with the Admiralty and the War Office, it was decided to make conpuls### the reduction of the sugar ration for men and women fed collectively in messes to 21/2 ozs. a head a day. At the same time the maximum quantity of sugar which might be purchased by the R.A.F. personnel holding leave or duty ration cards was also reduced to 16 ozs. a week. 5. Instructions have now been issued reducing the maximum quantities of bread, meat and bacon that may be drawn to the following :oz.
