The advantages of this policy are:- (i) We can ensure that the children are fed. The food provided can be right nutritionally and can be steered towards the foods in ample supply. (ii) Apart from the purely financial point of view meal is far the most economical method from the realistic view of making the most of our resources food and fuel. It should also simplify distribution and get rid of distributive costs. As has been domonstrated the school meal is educational both from the point of view of nutrition and also manners.
