unsatisfactory in the light of present conditions. For example, in Morayshire, Caithnessshire, Orkney, Dumfries-shire, Midlothian, East Fife, Renfrewshire and Wigtownshire, large areas of arable land have been requisitioned for defence purposes and the quota for increased cultivation must be regarded as modified to a considerable extent in these areas. In Angus, South Ayrshire, Bute, East Lothian, West Fife and Kinross, Lanarkshire, East and West Perthshire, Stirlingshire and Clackmannanshire, West Lothian, Berwickshire and Kirkcudbrightshire, it is expected that the full acreage of increased cultivation allocated will be equalled or exceeded.
