Desirability of an increase in the butter ration Memorandum by the Minister of Food I circulate for my colleagues' consideration a Memorandum which has been prepared with the object of placing before the Ministerial Food Policy Sub-Committee the position with regard to butter supplies and of obtaining authority to increase the butter ration from 4 oz. per head per week to 6 oz. per head per week at an early date. The circumstances which necessitate this course are set out in the Memorandum and I need only add that a Delegation from Denmark is at present in this country for the purpose of negotiating a renewed agreement for the supply of butter to this country.
