1. FOOD AND FEEDING STUFFS POSITION IN THE UNITED KINGDOM. The Committee took note of Weekly Report No.36 by the Ministry of Food on supplies of certain food and feeding stuffs (F.P.(M)(40) 109), and of Monthly Statement No.8 by the Ministry of Food on the statistical position of the principal food and feeding stuffs up to the end of September, 1940 (F.P.(M)(40) 110). The Committee also had before them the Tenth Report by the Ministry of Food on the food situation of the United Kingdom, for the month of June, 1940, incorporating the report on home production for the same period prepared by the Minister of Agriculture in conjunction with the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for the Home Department (W.
