It is obvious that food questions will become increasingly the subject of political interest especially as we proceed to develop the Government's plan of con- trolling the procurement, distribution and sale of food under peace-time conditions. A fair amount of legislation will be involved and I am already finding that the number of Parliamentary Questions addressed to me is increasing. Moreover, the development of our policy will involve an increasing degree of contact between officers of my Department and those of other Ministries which are situated in the Whitehall area.
