Early in the war the Headquarter Offices of the Tunnel Portland Cement Co. in Horse ferry House were requisitioned by the Ministry of Works. The firm were advised some time ago that it would be impossible to release this space for a considerable time to come, and they accordingly purchased 105, Piccadilly, which was held by the Y.
