At all times the India Office is liable to have to provide accommodation for highly placed officers coming to this country from India for consultations; of late the number of these has been considerable an there is every reason to suppose that with the increased facilities of transport and the increased number of problems calling for rapid adjust- ment by personal discussion such demands upon the accommodation in the India Office building are likely to grow rather than to decline.
