1. 105 PICCADILLY The Sub-Committee considered memoranda by the Minister of Works (L.P.(A)(45) 10), and the Secretary of State for War (L.P.(A)(45) 11) regarding the future use of the premises at 105 Piccadilly. THE MINISTER OF WORKS said that, as was explained in his memorandum, the premises in question were occupied by the Y.M.C.A. and used as a Club for Army Officers under the auspices of the War Office. They had been purchased some time ago by the Tunnel Portland Cement Company for use as Headquarter Offices, in the belief that they would be able to obtain possession when the lease held by the Y.
