Note by the Secretary. At their Meeting on Friday, 8th August, 1941, (L.P.(41) 35th Meeting, Minute 2), the Lord President's Committee had under consideration a Memorandum by the Minister of Works and Buildings on Conflicting Claims to Accommodation (L.P.(41) 120). The Committee agreed as follows:- "(1) The Minister of Works and Buildings was authorised to set up a tribunal on the lines proposed in his Memorandum to adjudicate on conflicting claims to accommodation, other than living space: the tribunal should consist of an independent Chairman, the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Buildings, and a representative (normally the Parliamentary Secretary) excluding the Department concerned in the dispute of one of the following:the Admiralty, War Office, Air Ministry, Treasury, Ministry of Health, Scottish Office, Board of Education or Ministry of Labour.
