Two further points have arisen on the draft Orders in Council attached to E. L. (45) 22. 2. The first is a suggestion made by the Board of Trade of which the Home Office approve, that the maximum penalty that can be imposed on conviction on indictment under Regulation 55 (1D) of the Defence (General) Regulations, 1939, should be reduced from fourteen years penal servitude to seven years penal servitude.
