16 Aug 1943

dealt with by Defence Regulation" war were dealt with in the last War by separate Acts; this again may have been partly due to the fact that the regulation—making powers were narrower. For example, some of the powers of the Ministry of Munitions, especially in relation to the control of particular establishments, were contained in the Munitions of War Acts, 1915 and 1917. Other Acts dealing with the control of materials were the Non-ferrous Metal Industry Act, 1918, the Price of Coal (Limitation) Act, 1915, and the Coal Mines Control Agreement (Confirmation) Act, 1918.
