The supply of books to the Forces for recreational reading, especially for reading of a more serious kind, is at the present time an urgent problem. There can be no doubt that an adequate supply of reading matter is necessary for the prevention of boredom and for the maintenance of morale, especially in periods of enforced relative inactivity.
