1. BRITISH FEDERATION OF MASTER PRINTERS THE CHAIRMAN welcomed representatives of the British Federation of Master Printers. MAJOR LEIGHTON, (President of the Federation), said that whereas in peace—time binders seldom had more than two weeks' orders on hand, they now found it difficult to fulfil an order under six months. On the printing side, the book printers were generally keeping level with the demand. He did not think that the binding position was deteriorating; it was largely a problem of clearing up the arrears.
