DISTRIBUTION OF INDUSTRY Report by Panel A The Panel ask for directions on the following applications for building licences:- (a) Firestone Tyre and Rubber Company. (b) This Company has a large factory on the Great West Road at Brentford. The demand on them for tyres and other goods, for home and export, exceeds their present capacity and they wish to build some extensions to their works (about one-tenth in floor area) which will enable them to increase output. Employment will be increased from about 1,600 to 1,800.
